Your AI pilot’s task is closed.
Closing an AI pilot task is an administrative event. Closing a control finding requires evidence that addresses the finding.
A completed task can leave the question open
A green task status is easy to report. It is less useful if the underlying concern remains unresolved. An AI readiness review needs to connect the original finding, the action taken and the evidence a decision owner accepts as sufficient to close it.
This fictional example follows a finding about an invoice assistant’s customer-account permissions. It shows why the document uploaded to a task and the behavior demonstrated by a control are different kinds of evidence.
What finding F17 actually says
Finding F17 records that evidence has not demonstrated the assistant’s account-access permissions. That is a statement about the evidence available for review. It is not proof that no access control exists.
The task owner uploads an access policy and marks the task closed. The policy describes the intended rule. It does not show whether the invoice assistant, in the relevant configuration, can access only the accounts it is authorized to use.
The task is complete in the tracker, but the decision owner still lacks an answer to the question behind the finding. Treating the task status as control effectiveness would hide that unresolved condition.
Agree the closure evidence before collecting it
A useful closure condition identifies the relevant configuration, authorized and unauthorized account scenarios, expected outcomes, observed results and evidence references. It also identifies who will review the results and decide whether they address F17.
The system owner supplies evidence of the checks. The decision owner reviews the results and material limitations. If the observations do not support the required permission boundary, the finding remains open and the proposed wider access should wait.
A policy can still be relevant evidence of the intended design. It should be assessed for that purpose, alongside evidence of observed behavior, rather than dismissed or treated as sufficient for a question it cannot answer.
Make unresolved conditions visible
A finding-to-action record should preserve the original concern, owner, agreed closure criteria, evidence supplied, reviewer disposition and effect on the decision. This makes it possible to distinguish work performed from a conclusion supported.
The team should state what may proceed within the reviewed scope and what remains on hold. If evidence is incomplete, record the limitation explicitly instead of allowing a closed task to imply that the broader AI pilot is ready.
How Anvaylo helps
Anvaylo’s paid, human-led AI Use-Case Readiness Assessment connects material findings to accountable owners, closure evidence and unresolved conditions in a decision brief. It helps the customer see which questions have supporting evidence and which still need action before the proposed next stage.
The customer’s system owners supply and operate the controls, and the customer retains the approval decision. Anvaylo’s review does not itself execute every test, remediate the system or certify control effectiveness.
When your next AI pilot task turns green, what evidence will show that the original finding—not just the task—has been resolved?

The task is closed. Is the finding resolved?
A review finds no demonstrated evidence that an invoice assistant stays within its account permissions. That is an evidence gap, not proof the control is absent.
The action owner uploads an access policy and marks the task done. The policy describes the rule. It does not demonstrate the assistant’s behavior.
Define closure: recorded checks using authorized and unauthorized accounts, expected and observed results, and an accountable reviewer’s acceptance of that evidence.
The system owner supplies the evidence. The reviewer checks it against the criterion. Until then, the finding stays open and wider access remains on hold.
Anvaylo’s human-led AI Use-Case Readiness Assessment connects findings to action owners, closure criteria, and supporting evidence, and records unresolved conditions in the decision brief. Your approver can see what remains unproven before deciding to proceed.
